Where a harder-wearing finish is needed, we apply acid cat, pre-cat and bar top lacquers to doors, panelling, bar tops, kitchens, staircases and commercial interiors, in sheens from matt to full gloss.
We also offer special finishes. Ebonising turns wood a deep, even black while keeping the texture of the grain, and suits handrails, bar tops and furniture. Japanning is the traditional black lacquer finish seen on antique cabinets and boxes, often decorated with gilded chinoiserie.
We refinish car wood interior trim, such as dashboards and door cappings, bringing back the depth and colour of the original veneers, including classic cars such as the Jaguar Mark 2.
Lacquers are sprayed for a smooth, even finish, in sheens from matt and satin to full gloss, and can be applied over a stain to change the colour of the wood while keeping the grain on show. We use lacquers from leading manufacturers, choosing the right product for each job.
Every job is different. The time and cost depend on the size of the job, the condition of the existing finish and the finish you choose, so we price each job individually. For a quote, send us a few photos and a short description using our contact form or WhatsApp.
