Looking for furniture repair or restoration in Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Towcester or Olney? We repair and refinish antique and modern furniture: veneer repairs, water rings, heat and white marks, scratches and worn finishes, colour matched and re-polished on site or in our Horton workshop.
From delicate antique restoration to everyday family furniture, we restore dining tables, occasional tables, chairs, desks, units, dressers and cabinets, bringing the same attention to detail and hand-finished quality to every piece.
Our repair work includes chips, scratches, water marks and damaged veneers, and we carry out veneering where sections are missing. We colour match new wood to older wood so that repairs blend in with the original piece, then refinish it with French polish or a lacquer, depending on the piece and how it will be used.
We work with oak, mahogany, walnut, cherry, ash, rosewood, beech and other hardwoods, for private clients, antique owners, businesses and stately homes.
We restore dining tables and chairs, occasional and side tables, pie-crust and tilt-top tables, desks and bureaux, chests of drawers, sideboards, dressers, cabinets and display units, in both antique and modern furniture. Our work is on the wood and its finish: veneer repairs, surface repairs, colour matching and refinishing.
A tired, scratched or marked finish on good-quality furniture, especially solid wood and antique pieces, can usually be restored, and restoration keeps the character, history and value that a new piece cannot match. Where a piece has sentimental value, or is part of a matching set, restoration is often the only way to keep it in use.
Every piece is different. The time and cost depend on the size of the item, its condition, the repairs needed and the finish you choose, so we price each job individually. For a quote, send us a few photos and a short description using our contact form or WhatsApp.
